What is biodegradation?
The environmental biodegradation of a plastic is defined as the biotic and abiotic process that happen in a given environment. The microorganisms carry out this process, producing first of all C02, H2O and Biomass. When the products are throw out to the ground or organic fertilizer in the presence of humidity, mechanical stress, light and microorganisms, they are biodegradable in simple materials found in nature, reincorporating themselves completely to the natural cycle of life.
What is biobased?
This term refers to the origin of the carbon source of the material, which in the case of biobased products, comes from renewable resources such as plants or biomass from agroindustrial byproducts instead of oil.
How long the products take to biodegrade?
For the official standard, GreenWorld products manufactured with NaturePlast technology have approximate biodegradation time of 12 to 24 months.
Which certificates do your disposable products have?
GreenWorld products are certified by ASTM D6954, ISO 17556, NMX-E-267-CNCP-2016, ASTM D5526, OK BIOBASED.
How long can be the products in the warehouse and what recommendations do they have?
For GreenWorld products, it is recommended:
-DO NOT stock the product for more than 12 months.
-DO NOT leave directly in sunlight.
-DO NOT leave at temperatures above 50 ° C.
